How can I thank a post?

How can I just thank a post or poster without posting anything?

I don't see a thanks link any where when I read posts.

Thanks. Is there a way to find which sections allow it or not?

Is it correct to give rep if there is no "thanks" available? If someone gives a helpful reply I'd like to thank them but I don't want to post just thanks because I read in the rules that we shouldn't do that. Makes me hesitant to just say thanks.

Hi, sorry to post here again but I see thanks given in sections but I still don't see either a "thanks" button or a way to thank a post or poster.

It would save having to make a post if I could just say thanks.

You can't thank in the self promo section, I know that for sure. If you don't see a thank button below the post, then its because you can't thank posts in that forum.

maybe it has something to do with number of posts, i cant see thanks button either even in posts that some ppl thanked
