How do you hide your IP when downloading stuff.

I wanna download some "stuff" but I wanna hide my IP address when I download. Anybody know how to. Someone told me when I use a proxy or something, it won't work, is that true? Does anybody know a real way to completely hide your IP address when downloading the stuff, so there is NO WAY anybody can track me.

What site are you downloading from? I haven't heard of anyone actually getting caught downloading music or video games. You can use something free like Hotspot Shield , OpenVPN, or ProXPN, or a cheap VPN like Hide My Ass! Pro or UnblockVPN. Your chances of getting caught are like 1 in 100,000 :0

I'm downloading from emuparadise.org they link the downloads to Megaupload so basicly I'm downloading from Megaupload.

I have a question, is it super safe when I download from MegaUpload because MegaUpload is like MediaFire(super popular download sites), everyone downloads from it so it'd be nearly impossible for someone to track ALL those IPs and find mine right?

TronTron is right, you should use Tor, or I guess if you had firefox you could use something like FoxyProxy and above that i2p (for .i2p websites) In any case, this is what I do --- a little extreme though....
