Things you need
1. A 128MB or greater Micro SD card
2.Win32DiskImager- Download http://bit.ly/Dh2nE
3. A NookColor (Duh)
4. A wifi connection
5. A MicroSD card writer(A CAMERA WONT WORK!)
6. A Gmail or Youtube Account
Okay, Lets get started!
First off, check your nook's software version. Do this by going to Settings>Device Info>About Your NOOKcolor
Depending on your nook's software version, you will have to use different nooters(Nook Rooters).

Unzip your nooter, and copy the file to your desktop
Write the file to your MicroSD card using Win32DiskImager
Shut off your nook
Pop in that MicroSD card
Now comes the easy part.
Plug in your nook to your computer(BUT DONT TURN IT ON OR ANYTHING)
DON'T TOUCH IT! IT WILL BOOT ON IT'S OWN!(The screen will not turn on while it's rooting, but it wil turn on after it has completed the root, so just plug it into the computer AND LEAVE FOR 10 MINUTES DON'T TOUCH IT)
After it has boot, check your "Extras" tab. It should have the Super User and Market apps
Congrats! you've just rooted your nook!
