Hi,

The situation:

-My laptop first was a windows 7 laptop.
-I made the recovery disks as it proposed me too. (3 bloody DVD's!!)
-A few months later I installed linux instead. (complete formating -No Moar Windows- )
-I know want to reinstall windows

So basically my question is:

Using the recovery DVD's, can i reinstall Windows? How if possible?
Thanks!

Typically, no. Recovery discs are for recovering windows---startup repair, or possibly a backup of your system (a system image) that you can restore to, not for a clean install.

Your best bet would be to download a copy of windows 7 and burn it onto a dvd. Do you have a legitimate key? If so you can download the iso here

I have used the links that link to Digital River myself. They should be good, but if you don't trust me just google for it ;)

If you bought it pre-installed, the key should be with all the shiz they gave you. [booklets, box, etc]

If not, you can download the iso anyway and just use a crack as an activation method. That's what I did.

yey, on your laptop/desktop there should be a sticker with your windows key...
If you go to microsoft, download the trial, and use that key it should work...
